Meet Our Team: Amanda Fielding

We are delighted to welcome Amanda to Bluestream.  With over 20 years HR experience Amanda, founder of AJ HR Solutions,  has partnered with Bluestream to offer an outsourced HR service that provides HR support to business of all sizes.

We chatted with Amanda about all things HR, how she got into HR by accident and how the avid Wasps Rugby supporter spends her down time!

When did you know you wanted to pursue a career in HR?
It came about by accident, I was in a training role and then offered a HR & training role for a new site.  Once I started to do the HR role I really enjoyed it and this then became my career path moving forward.

What inspires you to come to work each day?
I really enjoy helping people.

What skills are important for someone in your role?
Good listener, empathetic, people focused and disciplined. 

What do you love best about working in HR?
Helping people and seeing teams develop.  It is lovely to see someone improve and move forward in their chosen career.

Tell us about your proudest professional moment so far?
Starting my business and growing it from scratch.  I have had my business for 9 years and considering that only 1 in 3 businesses get to 10 years, I feel very proud of this achievement.

What interests do you have outside of work?
I love watching rugby union, F1 and tennis.  I also love gardening and seeing it improving each year.

What is your mantra?
Always be willing to adapt.
