As FPGA Developer you be part of a small and enthusiastic UK team developing equipment and sub-systems for multiple space missions
As FPGA Developer will be developing instruments and sensors. And producing firmware design concepts based on inputs ranging from formal ICD & requirements to a wish list of desired functionality in a 'blank sheet' system, plus
- Producing formal FW requirements where necessary
- HDL coding (VHDL and / or Verilog)
- Troubleshooting hardware and software for space missions
- Maintaining and extending legacy code on existing products
- Providing clear documentation
To be considered for the role of FPGA Developer you will need to:
- Be educated to MSc or BSc in an analytical or quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or similar)
- Have considerable commercial experience within FPGA design in space industry
- Have strong skills in VHDL and / or Verilog coding
- Have strong skills in simulation and test of FPGA code
- Be able to solve complex challenges in a small team
- Have experience of working within formal configuration control methods
- Ideally have knowledge of C and embedded C
- Ideally have Knowledge of Xilinx Ultrascale and / or Microsemi RTG4 development
