A fabulous opportunity for experienced Lab Technician with background in AIT to join an international space company passionate about making the world a better place.
As AIT Lab Technician you will be part of the UK Robotics team developing equipment and sub-systems for multiple space missions.
As AIT Lab Technician you will be part of a small, supportive team, supporting manufacturing and test activities, together with
- Kitting builds
- PCB assembly (SM & through hole soldering)
- Harness manufacture
- Assembly of flight equipment, including sensitive optical instruments
- Executing test campaigns on flight equipment
- Liaising with external test houses
- Supporting test reviews
- Maintenance of the labs and clean room, including goods in inspections
- Providing clear documentation
To be considered for the role of AIT Lab Technician you will:
- Have BTEC level 4 or above in technical discipline
- Have clean room experience
- Have an excellent organizational skills
- Have ability to follow and enforce lab procedures
- Experience working in manufacturing & test facilities
- Ability to follow manufacturing processes and apply rigorous build standards
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
- Have awareness of engineering standards (preferably ECSS)
